Traceability: Retailers

This training provides guidance for retail food establishments and restaurants on creating a traceability plan that complies with the FDA's FSMA 204 rule.

The training outlines the required components of a compliant plan, including

  • identifying a point of contact.
  • specifying how Food Traceability List (FTL) foods are identified
  • detailing procedures for traceability lot codes.

It also addresses the maintenance, storage, and sharing of traceability-related data and records, and provides examples to illustrate these concepts. Emphasizing the importance of regular plan updates and retention of previous versions, the training equips the participant with the knowledge to develop and implement a traceability plan, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
